Getting Started with Employment Branding and Inbound Recruiting
Benjamin Yoskovitz of StandoutJobs.com posted a very good article on 5 Tips for Getting Started with Employment Branding and In-Bound Recruiting. Recruitment organizations now days have to look at not only the message they are communicating about their employment brand but the tools they use to get the message out and connect with potential applicants.
Careful consideration must take place in the tools selected, (video, podcasting, Twitter, Facebook etc.) but to how this is going to be managed and who is going to be responsible for keeping things up-to-date and flowing. Recruiters can take the lead in driving this activity. Take a look at these 5 steps and explore the possiblities.
Ben’s Tip #1
# Dip a toe. The best way to start is by dipping a toe in the waters and figuring things out. One of the simplest things to do is blogging. Audio podcasts or videos of employees are also easy; grab a decent camera, shoot some video and post it. Video doesn’t have to be complicated.
